About Boutell Home Inspections
BHI began in 1998 when Lee Boutell received certification #147 in the first wave of Oregon Certified Home Inspectors and began serving home owners, home buyers and realtors in the Lane County area. In 2007 BHI also began offering services in Central Oregon.
BHI serves Eugene/Springfield, Lane County, Deschutes County, Jefferson County, Crook County, and the greater Central Oregon region.
Background:
Before BHI, Lee Boutell worked in fields preparing him for home inspection. In the 1980's as an independent contractor DBA Mr. Fix-it, he specialized in home repairs, fixing everything from sidewalks to roofs, plumbing to heating systems, carpentry to appliance repair.
In the 1990’s Lee Boutell worked as a Building Inspection Supervisor, earning code inspection certifications from the State of Oregon for single-family homes and for manufactured homes. He developed a facility preventive maintenance program and performed inspection on roofs, HVAC, plumbing and safety systems for a large municipality.
